Strategic Procurement & Category Manager (Information & Communication Technology)

The Job
You will
• Lead the IT sub-category team (primary focus – software / system implementation) in providing end-to-end strategic procurement and commercial and contract management services, including developing and managing the Club's supplier base and demand planning across the entire business
• Manage a wide range of purchasing activities for a portfolio of the Club's daily operations and projects
• Execute strategic initiatives and supplier strategies, including sourcing and tendering
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Provide support in procurement process improvement
• Sustain a strong and cohesive team and ensure effective teamwork
• Collaborate with colleagues of various business units as appropriate to develop and maintain the most up-to-date view of potential category spend (i.e. demand plan) and evaluate supplier submissions and support their award and execution of contracts.

About you
You should have
• Degree holder with professional qualification in Procurement, Business Administration or Information Technology (e.g. CIPS or equivalent)
• Minimum 10-12 years of procurement experience
• Technical expertise in IT, Hardware or Software areas, with experience in software is a plus
• Capable of negotiation; self-motivated with mature business acumen
• Good knowledge of strategic sourcing / procurement and commercial & contract management
• Project management experience would be highly preferable
• High level of integrity, work ethic, and good moral values
• Familiar with e-Procurement system development and operation
• Ability to establish, influence and maintain collaborative partnerships and engage in effective negotiations with a broad range of parties.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluent in Mandarin is a plus
• Excellent general IT skills

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
